How was PermitHub born?
For years, I worked in maintenance and engineering environments where permit-to-work processes were still managed using paper forms, spreadsheets, emails, and filing cabinets.
On paper, the process looked simple. In reality, permits were difficult to track, approvals could take hours, compliance documents were stored in different locations, and nobody had a clear real-time view of work taking place across site.
Finding information during audits was frustrating. Chasing RAMS, insurance documents, and contractor records became a job in itself.
When we looked at existing software solutions, we found they were often either too expensive, too complex, or designed for large enterprises with dedicated safety teams.
So we built PermitHub.
Our goal was straightforward: create a modern permit-to-work platform that helps engineering, manufacturing, and factory teams issue permits faster, improve compliance, and gain complete visibility of site activities without the complexity of traditional systems.
